LauraAnn T. Vaughn, M.Ed.

LauraAnn Vaughn is the creator of SupportED Consultancy. SupportED serves those agencies, communities, districts, and individuals seeking guidance in the fields of education and special education. SupportED has the sincere goal to provide accurate and direct support services through professional development opportunities and solution-based approaches.

LauraAnn created this firm to serve with integrity and fidelity. She has worked in both urban and suburban school districts serving in various teaching and administrative capacities. Her most compelling experiences are co-teaching, supervision opportunities, management appointments, school union representative roles, and serving as district representative for unique special education legal cases. LauraAnn is trained and certified to serve the field of education effectively.

LauraAnn believes in the coined phrase, “service to others is the rent you pay for room on this earth,” stated by Shirley Chisholm. Leading schools, administrators, teachers, parents, and community partners to make sound decisions is her treasured task. As a former special educator, reading specialist, and administrator she truly believes that the field of education is a service industry.

LauraAnn holds teaching licenses in the areas of special education and reading. She has a Master of Education in the area of Curriculum and Instruction from Cleveland State University and currently seeking a doctoral degree, in Educational Leadership for Organizations, at the University of Dayton. LauraAnn is an Adjunct Professor at Cleveland State University and Tennessee State University, instructing courses in the department of teaching and learning. Her enthusiasm, experience and expertise for education will lead you appropriately!

Brittany Webb holds teaching licenses in the areas of middle childhood mathematics and social studies. She has a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Cleveland State University, with a specialization in Gifted and Talented Education. Brittany currently serves as the Gifted Education Coordinator within the Shaker Heights City School District. At Shaker Heights City Schools, Ms. Webb spearheaded “The Rising Stars Enrichment Program,” designed to increase minority enrollment in advance mathematics courses. This was done by strengthening the mathematical foundation of minority students throughout the school year. Brittany is also a Trustee on the Shaker Schools Foundation. Brittany’s passion is developing teacher and students relationships to promote a positive educational environment!

Candace Williams earned her undergraduate degree from Case Western Reserve University in Communication Sciences and her graduate degree from the University of Mount Union in Educational Leadership. Her professional expertise is in the areas of Education, Non-Profit Management, and Organizational Development. 

Candace has a passion for youth, mentoring, community development, and collaboratively developing solutions to improve operations for the quality of life for others. These are driving forces in her daily decision making. She is a strong advocate for education and volunteers her time within the Bedford City School District. Candace believes that education is the root to making all dreams and goals possible!

Communications Director

Here at SupportED, Shannon Powell serves in the role of Communications Director. She sets the tone for our messaging and portray our organization’s values. She establishes relationships, develops strategic marketing plans, and handles public relations issues that arise internally or externally.

Shannon has a Bachelor of Science in Communications, with a concentration in Public Relations, from Cleveland State University. She has a Masters of Arts in School Counseling from Capella University. Shannon’s 15+ years of experience in Social Services speaks volumes. She has also served in K-12 public school settings, non-profit, and higher education environments. She serves on several community boards offering expertise in the area of Communications.
